Fushi has the ability to take on the forms of those who have (a) made an emotional impact on him, and (b) died. Because of the way Deerington works, he'll lose his ability to turn into any player character whose form he gains once they come back to life. When said character is nearing death, they'll see a vision of the future that they've always dreamed of -- maybe themselves all grown up as a mother, or possessing a family that loves them -- before realizing they're dead and fading away. Generally speaking, this is more pleasant than just choking on your own blood or something, so it is what it is.
